                                        ITINERARY                   

Day l.    Everyone will arrive at the airport (near San Jose).  I will pick up everyone as their flights  arrive and we will spend a wonderful night in a nice hotel in Alajuela. Price $60-70 including breakfast. After a good night sleep, we will be off on our adventure.


Day 2.  We are off to Poas National Park , here we will see the crater volcano, a beautiful waterfall, butterfly gardens and beautiful plants. We will spend all day here.   This is a very beautiful area with cooler temperatures and you will need warmer clothing. 


Day 3.  We will be up early, board a van and we will be headed to La Fortuna.   This is where the beautiful Arenal Volcano sits with all her glory.  We will stay 4 nights here.  We will have many options of hotels and most all of them have a view of the volcano. We will stay at Hotel San Bosco.  This is my favorite and the staff is awesome.  My groups have really enjoyed staying at this hotel. This little town holds the key to all the adventure. Here we will have the option to go whitewater rafting, horse back riding, visit the hanging gardens, canopy tours and much more.  We can do an evening hike to the base of the volcano and finish the evening soaking in the wonderful hot springs, (this is a must do).    Monteverde Tours  offers all these tours and more.  Once you open this link, go to the tours offered in the Arenal Volcano area. 
For thoses who want to do Yoga, the hotel (San Bosco) has a beautiful private space facing the volcano.  This is an awesome experience!


After spending 4 nights in La Fortuna, we can either visit the beaches or other areas.  This decision will be the group's desire. 


I can offer suggestions of hotels in this area.  The group can break up and stay in different hotels.

Day 10.  We will be on our way back  to spend our last night in Alajuela to catch our flights back to the U.S.  We will be near the airport for those who have early flights.
